Since its founding in Japan in 1885, Oriental Motor has been a world leader in motor development. For over a century they have concentrated on technological advancement and product design improvement. This emphasis is evident in the sophisticated devices that Oriental Motor market today.Oriental Motor's sales and service network is international, with offices throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Domestically, Oriental Motor USA Corporation was established in 1978 and produces a great variety of fractional HP products, for position control, velocity control and temperature control.
Project Description
Oriental Motor uses a MOVEX system for their product and customer data. We developed a system which integrates their MOVEX system as well as Goldmine with their online shop. The shop on their website is partly located on the servers in Japan, making the overall integration challenging. We developed the order process for the US site and integrated the orders into their MOVEX system. Our solution contains a shipping calculator integrating US, Canadian and Japanese holidays with the UPS shipping company.Since then, we implemented several other projects with Oriental Motor and support them with our team.
